Rev. Dr. Chris Haughee has over twenty years in ministry experience, serving in a variety of pastoral roles from youth ministry to his current role as Desert Springs’ Interim Pastor. A passionate advocate for young people, he has recently served as chaplain to children ages 6-14 with severe emotional disturbance in a residential care facility. Chris has published an Advent and Lenten devotional as well as a Bible Study called “Bruised Reeds and Smoldering Wicks,” a first of its kind Bible study on trauma-informed ministry. Chris enjoys preaching, teaching, and playing “camp guitar” to lead worship. He was called to serve Desert Springs by unanimous vote of the congregation on January 3, 2021. He looks forward to seeking God’s will for the future of Desert Springs Covenant Church and is inspired by the faith-filled, resilient members of this very special fellowship!
